he hammers away
seeking sustenance
hungry woodpecker

A cute woodpecker
Is hammering with its beak
A coconut tree.

silver over cactus thorn
diamond drops

mesquite trees dance
smooth breeze through the sage
ripples on the sand

invisible clouds
sunlight melts morning
woodpecker news

red headed
woodpecker runs up a tree...
ant trail vanished

The woodpecker knocks

on the warped and latched pine door

it ignores the snores

an old and gnarled tree....
sound of woodpecker pecking
sprinkling of wood dust

Pecking at the sued block
making tapping noise

a Goldfinch hoping
along an old weathered fence
pear tree blossoms

early afternoon
green woodpecker in field
hidden by wet grass

a small garden pond
hundreds of tiny tadpoles
wriggling at the edge

A coconut tree –
A woodpecker hammers it
To build her sweet nest!

Resounding 

Echoing pecking
Rapidly rapping tapping.
Woodpecker music.

The Woodpecker drums,
in a, tick a tick tick  sound,
on the branch of spring.




Charma

As the bird chirps fade,
A lone pecking resonates;
From a hollow log.

Vicar of the woods,
Congregation of cedars:
Nature’s revival.
