filling the air with roses~
an opium kiss

trees adorned in brown
mirror the silent corn moon~
fallen escapade

a limp hand I hold

as the wind takes your last breath

            the candle flickers

just lay here beside me
where the lillies talk to the orange sky
and the evening wind titters all around the place.

supple maple limbs
        tease the wind with burlesque flair~
                   twirling ruby fans

forest storm winds warn
in loud bellows and whispers ~
trees vertical plight

september slips in
as asters wave in the breeze . . .
farewell to summer

october’s crisp days
mountains’ gold and crimson blaze . . .
my marveling gaze

november’s wind wails
a lone leaf scuttles away . . .
the fall’s first snow flake

I still remember 
       slide down a polished railings 
       Autumn holidays


       Sleeping until noon 
       Dance happily in the wind 
       No homework this week

scent of the sea fills my hair --
fishing without care

pelican dives fast
shrimp on the hook was my last --
strips the bait I cast

turn with quick motion
see crab stealing sun lotion --
ocean commotion

Bursts of mist: drops like
pins against rock and sand
pushed by the wind.

Horizon's edge beneath
evening star, sky darkening
to violet like ink spreading.

Erosion of stone,  
sunken gravesite: souls their voices
the roar of the sea.

sun is hanging ten

as we ride sea's rolling waves. . . .

a paradise found


sun spreads marmalade

in our late warm afternoon. . . . 

the sky eats it up


twilight's sky drips red

a tryst whispered on the wind. .  .

we embrace the night

riding on
a puff of wind
dandelion spore

When autumn leaves fall
    burst of colors red and gold
         drifting in the wind

    Leaves of gold and red
        wrinkled,burnt, kissed by the sun
             leaves a memory

Wind beaten, lashing
Against such, beauty still shows
Even Roses strive

i stand proud now like the oak---
no weeping willow

your splendid branches
wrap me into your shadow---
shelter from the storm

wind blows me down
your light lifts me up---
might i dwell in your arms?
