sadly the heart beats
world oblivious to pain
death patiently waits

I bled myself dry
because of you slaughtered, drained
exsanguinated

Dressed in white she was
five years later I'm in jail
Marriage was pure hell

Sadness of the heart
when our loved ones do depart
to the promise land

reluctant leaves fall
from the old tree showering
an old man walking.

to the pangs of oppression
let me ROT

in fragments
i trust you'll be whole again
while I break  

Engineer the heart
The estate of my pity
Pupil of sorrow

                                      the crumbling stardust
                               caged nightingale does not sing -
                                      tomorrow's tombstones

I have turned for the
better through sadness, putting
my hope in the dirt

ceiling fan tan breeze
moth mistake light bulb for sun
sad day nature faked

Stay bright when you're sad
Shine on you crazy diamond
Evil men hate fire

No prayers for the dead

Let's sing a sad song instead

Then wipe the tears shed

Screams above the din

A moment of grief and loss

    A loved one passes

Rights to care and health
 Ebola - child is orphan
 A safe hand to hold 

 Long dark eyelashes
 Protect my little angel 
 God will make a way

Many of my friends
Has passed away in their youth
Due to drug abuse

Camp fire grows cold,
The campers are going home;
Time to be sad.

Ghetto dreams, ponder
Broke hydrant, cement
Only leaking tears

It has flown to me.

And it has given me grief.

It was your sad smile.

In his suicide note
My poverty is to blame
No one else, he wrote

Today im not sad
Im in the next stage of grief
Today im angry

wet cheeks not spring rain….
distinction applied by God
man sheds tears when sad

Sun and sand and beach
Life has some lessons for me
Be all  you can be!

Sad conversations
May healing come to you soon
And children be safe!

For all you have done
And wherever you may be
May you rest in peace!

Blue eyes moisture filled
Coping skill definition
Rain still coming down

Strokes after midnight
received a distant sad news
a swallow has flown

Watch over us dear
I kept my prayers for you
frosted in flowers

old river flows hushed
blood and tears, silent weeping  
children are slaughtered
