Gullies scar brown earth
     Hurricanes bring erosion
          Of both soil and lives

tempest stomps her feet
as she shakes her liquid skirt
knee deep in N'awlins

forest storm winds warn
in loud bellows and whispers ~
trees vertical plight

volcano erupts

beachside village in peril --

    monster 'neath the waves


water wall rises

tsunami washes ashore --

     souls float on blue tide

birds mourn their unborn

hot liquid
bubbling cauldron...
witches brew


sulphuric acid
nostrils flare...
matches ignite


lava overflows
on mountain crevice...

Wind and heavy rain
Elements of a tropical storm
Take cover before it arrives

Like a chest heaving

Molten Lava rising forth

Its path to the Sea

Eruption of ash,
Earth bleeds as the mountain vents:
A river of flames.

Rain pierces the sky.
Lightning flashes past my eye
Thunder booms loudly.

drought's broken
nature claps
for an encore

Vigilant nature 

Stands guard at harmony's gates

Trespassers condemned!

~ whirling breathing waves contain
shifting
signs that fog the mind
~
a weather phenomenon
rotates
columns of wind draft
~
arid and semi-arid 
regions
blows loose sand and dirt 


dust devil

summer’s scorching heat
     leaves curl up burnt to a crisp
          the tree’s life threatened

So many cities
flattened by angry waves
wind-borne suffering.

water flares up
disaster looms now
a city sinks

Volcano erupts
burying a continent
in a new ice age?

Just like mushroom clouds
Massive plumes of hot ash are
Eruption Columns

I wait for the deluge
To see Arizona's Coast
Join hands, tread water.

Pouring from leaden clouds
Flooding houses and gardens
A constant dark rain


Aus bleiernen Wolken
Flut in Häusern und Gärten
Endloser Sturzregen


De nubes plomizas
Inundando casas y jardines
Continuo aguacero

nature's wrath
in the wind
forgiveness

a rude awakening
earths shifting crust
towering waves break

silt drys layered
packed, heated, plates collide bang
flings upright pegs

molten steam singes life
bones crushed down below surface
seed never more green

Nature’s wrath supreme
Tearing down humanity
Human grace denied

CYCLONE HAIKUS


      Mighty trees once proud
No match for destructive winds
      Toppled to the ground


       Loud and angry howls
Powerful and mighty gusts
      All heads bow in fear


       Winds rage night and day
 No way to cover our ears
      To drown out the sound

I am a monster
I have to be obeyed-
beware of my wrath

An azure ocean
Displaced by mighty blackness
The horizon dies

Birds sing springtime
Diminished in cold
Climate changing

Fiery mountain blown-off lid
                 Billowing smoke ash skywards
                 Molten rock avalanche

Storm coming to town 
Hurricanes so dangerous
Winds and water

Its GLOBAL WARMING
The ocean is rising fast
I hope you can swim

after the storm--
a clear starry sky
replaces my roof
