Ending a hot day
On the back of a lizard
Crusty desert dust

A lizard rushing
to hide. Scorching sun. I can't
hide from scorching needs.

Fallen branches
Dead flower litter
A lizard hides

suddenly appears
scampers quickly over rock
skittish little guy

perched on the branch
tree lizard puffs up its chest
like a balloon

dancing in the dark
fireflies paint lines of light 
in exquisite designs

a buzzing bee
the sleeping dog awakens
then bolts from the room

Looking dead to me 
With its feet up in the air
Goodbye dead lizard

perched on outside window pane --
cat goes crazy

wet functionary
scaled feet slip, tree knows better
reptilian off

A fly
A lizard
Eye to eye’ we met at last”

cockroach searches food 
                                     hunter lizard practises
                                   ants take their own share

Standing on a limb
Rainforest lizard smiles
Awaiting a response

motionless lizard
invisible predator
lets prey make last move

Haiku Fun
                    the lizard sits still
    watching the flies; snatch! snatch! slurp!
                   the flies are no more

tail-less lizard
scurries under a desk--
my cat's toy

The freaking lizard
                                 On the fading wall I saw
                                     Reminds me on him.

liquid quick, he moves
so fast, his tongue a dart, the

lizard finds refuge.

Always nodding yes
Even falling down the tree
Giving thanks all time

In the piles of wood, 
a lizard was nipped by the
tail with a stinger.

Eagle

A pair of wide wings
flapping in the air swooped down
upon a serpent.

Alligator

Fangs in the river
quietly waits for a prey, 
attacking the duck.

Worlds largest lizard
They are island gigantism
Komodo Dragon

anole -noun- a small mainly arboreal American lizard with a throat fan that (in the males) is typically brightly colored. Somewhat of a chameleon.

hot sun burning
night foraging
once cold time comes
then hibernate

baby green lizard 
slowly creeps up on its prey 
…unfortunate miss

You pass at the steps/you look at him, he does you/no words just flying

steaming morning tea
 another haiku begins
       solo lizard basks

tear drop mountain
 
weeps floodgates cusps water fall -
