on the grassy, shallow bank
watching reflections


table with peanuts
round and round the tree he goes
caw, caw cries high crow


reading by the sea
this boy sitting on a rock

My conscience is stained
the curfew gull it glides
bent over in guilt I quiver.

Crests of teal waves
burst upon the ocean's swell.
An Oreo Seagull lifts, soars.

The wings of the Sea-
gull hover and sway, as he cries.
The high surf pounds, roars.

The sky cascades sun-
light through the sea spray-
lemon drops.

The dark pupils that faded 
In a sea of blue 
A gull that got away.

                    Lights of Atlantis 


                 brightest evening star,
                 flirts with no shame to the sea, 
                 sea gull winks at me.
