You look so lonely
    Sitting out there in the green
       A beauty to see

muddy, dying pond
green confronts cloudless blue sky
my dog sniffs and snoops

oak’s coy hint of red 
blushes shy leaves midst the green -
sunset steals day’s warmth

goldenrod plumes nod
as twilight shows off the stars - 
the fire pit crackles

            Look for some green beer!

perfect rows of corn

Miles of green lush grass;
Wide pastures full of livestock;
The country’s my home.

A green-eyed cyclops
flutters albino lashes
against the cold wind

Through morning moisture
The mist reveals the changing
