Windup toy, in flight, you dance
Among the cattails.

In the pond, a dragonfly is teaching small fishes surfing
On the bank, my thought is attempting to Knit a net 
To catch them

wings of gossamer  
gently pulsating the air
butterflies in flight


tail of dragonfly
skimming the water's surface
while taking a drink


bark of an old tree
weather-beaten and furrowed
a home for insects

Dragonfly hovers			
Jewel flash, diving, darting	
In an instant, gone.

The dragonfly dreams,
Of the butterfly’s beauty; 
Dreams of painted wings.

A dragonfly rides
on a lily's leaf, waiting
for the fish to twitch

The broken wings of
an emperor dragonfly.
Surprise feast for ants.

Fallen from his dreams
reached realities, 
now working harder.

with shattered love life, 
she took human services, 
many lives salvaged.

iridescent wings
hover over garden pond
cool zephyr breeze blows

dragonfly dazzles

A red dragonfly
Seated on my stretched right hand,
It was good omen!

scatterer of blooms
on the green everywhere lanes
mother of colors

in dark yellow dawn
or purple pansy dusk robed
in butterfly swarms

mother by blue lakes
in a green fascinator
with dragonfly queen

oh mother of song
fresh from saffron southern skies
moonlight's in your hair

The dragonfly nymph
An aerial acrobat; speed
On the wing, unmatched

sit on the oak studded hills
frogs croak in the pond

spring rain falls teasing
lacy blue patches open
dragonfly settles

sun shines on puddle
faint rainbow arcs in distance
