Messy dog kisses: 
Most likely are full of germs, 
But make me happy.

looking out a tree 
stands, a deep growl vibrates, a
heedless squirrel plays

On this sunny day
A dog is drinking water
And swimming in pond!

scat dog

the tree yields
its last two peaches
dog days

Log in the fireplace,
Enjoying a good author
While petting my dog

We share a bond
You rejected bird hunting 
I rejected war

Memorial Day
official start of Summer
don't burn the hot dogs

such a little dog 
cold and hungry no warm home
four small frozen paws

desert sun…
sears thirsty still life 
of flesh and sagebrush 

gray clouds burst 
breaching dry nostrils…
soiled, wet, smelly dog

A dreamt came at dawn
Tiny dragon spoke wisdom
Dog ingest its might.

Suddenly vomits
Everything swallowed goes out
Dragon turned piglets.

Some dog taught me this,
your head sinks and your butt floats.
It’s called cat paddling!

steam rising
off hot metal -
a dog lifts his leg

Flea's to a dog is
                                                        no different to a cat.

luck, hope, dream or fate 

you came in and brought me out

we saved each other

Bella's getting old.
She'll join Brandy and Ginger;

Joyful canine

brandy warm eyes light
intelligent soft and bright
no language so right

dive after the birds
thrilling that they scatter wild
‘cross the azure pond

smiling the while, gay
tail wags the triumphant hunt
struts out the cold wet

doe eyed plea for help
nothing on earth can withstand
puppy in the rain

My begonia bit the dust!
Dead-drunk begonia!

They sucked up all their water

my own big wheel bodyguard
loyal till the end

Ugly dog leaves his mark behind
The street-oak tree;
I follow it as a child
