	I am a coyote
	howl in the autumn
	Indiana night

hot summer day
down the beach
seagulls dive

morning sunlight
through forest canopy
shadows dance
~~~~~~~~~~~
full blue moon
across the misty bay
foghorn blows
~~~~~~~~~~~
hot dry wind
across the desert sands
coyote howls

Born were coyote pups,
Little yips in the canyon,
As the season starts.

coyote runs wild
across fields of verdant green
a sly cunning thief

Big bear farts loudly
Coyote laughs at big bear
Bear eats coyote

Love is the anvil
and my coyote heart waits,
then crushed by the weight.

snow white avalanche ~ 
in the still of the valley
a coyote howls

          coyote pups yip
waiting for mother's catch....
female quail searches                   

a coyote howls
to the full red moon...
a train whistles

Quick, with gliding stride
Adapting to urban life
Coyote survives



Hard to believe..
but there are coyotes in San Francisco

Wolf of the prairie
Stalk Quail for my family
Ooh my yelp’s so scary

searching for careless cats
raids garbage cans

In the distant plain
Cries a lone wild coyote
With no one to hear.

Coyote
sings his hunting song
joins friends

Coyote
crosses interstate
half way

coyote
raids garbage can
urban pest

rock salted highway
seasoning for the season
a coyote limps
