Orchids bring us delight in many ways. Their aroma is just as wonderful as their beauty... I enjoyed this lovely poem, Jan. I brought me back to springtime. Nicely done!

Beautiful, Jan! I have an orchid hanging on my porch that blooms once every couple years. Every time I get a potted one, it dies...a green thumb, I'm not! hugs, Rhonda

Oh Dear Rhonda:-) Mine are all kept in the house - the secret is not to over water them and then move them to a much cooler area once they have flowered and this forces them into re-flowering - good luck:-) Hugs Jan x

The larger ones have such a heavenly scent. A very lovely haiku Jan! Orchid blooms will last 2 to 3 months if you don't water them, only spray them with water and give them sun. Most people, including myself, used to drown them until I found this out. So I am spreading the word of their care. A lovely photo that matches your words. Hugs, Connie

I can get them to flower continuously on average for at least 6 months Connie - I agree the secret is in the watering and then moving them to a cold windowsill which seems to force them to throw out a new flower spike:-) Hugs Jan xxx

Yes, of course I love this haiku -- it fires all of my five senses . . . sound you say? yes the sound of peaceful solitude in the presence of true beauty. lovely dear Jan,
