3 Haiku

In January 2007 the fishing trawler, 'Pere Charles'was lost off Dunmore EastCo Waterford,
Ireland, with the loss of five fishermenI knew four of them, two very well.

                                         Pere Charles

                                   Soft water all quiet
Bubbles of air take last breath
                               Five souls bid goodbye

                                       Flowing Music

                                   White water tinkling
                                Exudes musical moments
                                  Hear a perfect peace

                                           Soft Power

                                      Soft flowing water
                               Creates valley and canyon
                                      Kisses ocean, free

Demonic Noise

tsunami commands
mother earth to tremble --
demons unburied

blue skies of water
pour out devastation --
crashing tears thunder

thunderous booms of
explosions in aftermath --
resilience conquers

a ku ku krazy day

a very loud noise
started ringing from my clock—
I fell out of bed

a bumped water glass
rolling across the hard floor—
I slipped on my head

a loud screaming sound
resonated through the house—
my face turned bright red

my husband woke up
hysterically laughing—
I was on the floor

I could not get up
without someone assisting—
ku ku krazy day

I went back to bed
wondering what day it was—
perhaps, tomorrow

The Sparrows Friend

The last leaf did fall,
winter clouds bring the first storm. Earth rest in slumber. Most birds have gone south. Cold winter winds staying now, sparrows search for food. Some have black and white crowns, some just two tone brown. They hide in the trees. Sun is bright, cold day, rest upon Earths frozen crust. The water is frozen. Birds seek human friends to feed and keep fresh water, with help they survive.

I wander about
like a fish out of water
in the surf blue sea

Me a traveler
in the congress of gray rocks
where carcajous howl

A vacant lot mind
wavered in the breeze empty
land soul never rests

Heart sighs seeks haven
warm breasts of the beloved
in my country home

I see the river
boatmen singing love ballad
flows out of water

The water is cold,
I sit stiffly in the boat.
Again, I am lost.

The oars are secured.
Going downstream is a risk,
My eyes are open

I am quite a wreck,
Not knowing where to begin.
My eyes squeeze shut.

Where will I go now?
Lethergy lulls me to sleep,
I breathe in and out.

Surely, I must move?
The wind is silent and calm
I spin all around.

Let go of the oars!
Today is the day to trust.
The sun is warming,

Stretch out and relax.
Shallow water is muddy,
Not life threatening.

Monitoring self,
nature made her decisions:
disaster rained down…

The water rose—
Life sank beneath the level;
hope floated above…

Like Noah, we wait…
flooding water standing still—
Vultures roost on wires.

Roses for you!

petals all over
sexy, sexy as can be
press the flesh tonight

my roses are black,
did I forget the water
dry flower bed!!

my roses are red,
give me a kiss, sweet as you
potion pucker lips

flowers for the dead
roses running through my head
zombies are blue.

ouch! ouch! prickly thorns
rose blood, falling all around,
snake under my bed

I did not mean it
I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!
here have 2 roses

baby bash, ice cream
only In America
roses in demand

Fishing Haiku

fishing excitement great, landing one is fun, to the water I must go, ~*~ on the bank I do stand, baiting my hook and casting the pole, watching for line dance, ~*~ moments of time tick, awaiting a fish to bite, fishing pole jerking, ~*~ pulling to set the hook, the fishing line is pulling my drag, excitement flows, ~*~ seeing the big fish swimming, pulling it to the waters edge, grab the fish to unhook, ~*~ pushing the stringer through, wonderful fish finally caught, to the pan he goes so tasty,

Frost smoke rising from the sea
                                           Wintertime...Ice King rules

     - I hold many ice cubes in my hand, they melt slowly...my hands is numb,
        wet and cold
     - There was a lot of mess...water everywhere.
     - (All this just for you....)

     - Picture reminds me that I need to enjoy every day of summer and autumn -
    - winter is blue, cold, icy, wet and looong.
