What mystery lies
Deep in pavilions green
Draped in sunbeams bright

- Haiku X 143 - Waves -

                                           an eternal wave
                                       the mystery of desire
                                      close to the landscape

Naked, Shivering

there… solitary
on the street corner she stands
naked, shivering
~*~

Note: Sorry, but there's no mystery here There is a little oak tree on the street corner (I've taken photos of her since her leaves began to change colors) Then two days ago after a long, cold rain, all her leaves were gone!

An Undated Creative Realm

Amidst peaceful place
Beyond words structures exist
Pillars pretty carved.

Euphorically
Radiating mystery craft
Piece of an old art

One's pay a visit
Strolling across the meadows
Unsure to leave last

A wall serves as frame
Vivid pictures for themselves
Stunning particles

Parallel doorways
Undated creative realms
Memoirs never last.

GREAT TREE

GREAT TREE

tree out my window
the various multitudes
call your branches home

world within a world
a mystery large to small
and each blade of grass

Heartthrob

 “I open the door and cross the threshold of imagination”

                     A Rambling Poet

One path finds the door
Traveled only from the heart
Through the eyes to life

Hovering about
Dragonflies of all colors
Dancing with sunshine

A mystery world
Sparkling glass dimpled with life
Guarded by cattails

Nervous chatters above behold
A strange sense of company
I watch a miracle unfold
From behind a red oak tree

I hold my breath, don’t make a sound
Slowly peeking bit by bit
Tugging, jumping and playing around
Four unaware fox kits

The wind became my enemy
My scent from it they stole
No hesitation, instantly
They scampered down their hole

Astonished, I ponder what a rare sight I had just witnessed.
The tranquility of being surrounded by huge trees envelops me as I walk around the pond’s edge
Led by a bullfrog’s ballad, I hone in on its stage location.
Startled, the frog leaps into its safe haven and disappears into thick vegetation.
The setting sun glimmers in the wake of the bullfrog, as does my reflection.
I watch until the water’s surface is smooth again.
A rustling in the brush directs my attention to a doe and her fawn wandering in search of a tender morsel.
The long shadows of dusk begin a tale of nocturnal beauty, a revelry to the nightlife to dance with a miracle world.
Content, I find myself back at the threshold of my heart.
Leaving the world that will some day surround me, a horn blaring taxi barely misses me.

what's the buzz haiku

wonder of spring
   mystery and beauty bring...
      let creation sing

lilting glory songs
   righting all of winter's wrongs...
       tames the heart that longs

summer's 'round the bend
   chill of darkness soon to end...
        blooms and buds ascend

CHEERY 2

CHEERY 2

Weathered wood bench
Old as us two;
Hardy as teak

~~~~~~~~~
On this trip
Make ends meet;
Garage sales
~~~~~~~~~

Joy seeds enough
No need for stuff;
Just call the bluff

~~~~~~~~~
Just two old souls
In brief posture;
Human nature knows
~~~~~~~~~

Cheery in grief
Joy fills the brief;
Small talk punctuates

~~~~~~~~~
Wednesday cascades
New mystery floats;
Touch of morning light
~~~~~~~~~

Morning Glory flowers
Temporary respite;
Hazy sun floats

~~~~~~~~~
Laughter and glee
Children frolic;
Playtime melodies
~~~~~~~~~

Chinese pugilists
Martial arts dancing;
Crafty moves delight

~~~~~~~~~
Stillness permeates
Silence glowing;
Calm quiet creates
~~~~~~~~~

Grocery shopping spree
So much to carry;
Overstretched arms

~~~~~~~~~
TV conversations
Meal time indulgence;
Sitcom fantasies
~~~~~~~~~

FLOW OF THOUGHTS

They tap this mind when
peace stirs mystery and fear...
they spring forth and flee.
