icy spurs on window panes
windy stars whipping by
appaloosa skies

hooves pounding the snow
   manes flying in Winter's wind ~
      mustangs on the hills

Twilight is coming
after munching on meadow
horses love to run

tail streaming high in the wind
hoof pounding the earth

horses turn their haunch
to show their scorn for the storm 
and nature’s tantrum

allows man to think
he can command elegance
and tame the wild heart

    refined, graceful, free spirit
    and favourite of kings

Skeletal remains
naked to the elements
iced by winter's breath

The yawning giant
awakened by spring's nudging
unfurl sticky buds

The bustling leaves
an emerald factory
absorbing sunlight

Golden crispy leaves
flutter and carpet the earth
skeletal remains

Pegasus

White horned horse flies high;
He spreads his wings wide to fly,
Zeus is his captain.

	fenceline hackberry’s 
	yellowed leaves drifting downward
	into Wild Horse Creek

bay mare stretches neck
  to gorge on vergeside grass -
  ignoring novice

by instinct
she speeds through dark wood- -
war horse

loud organ music plays


painted horses mounted on poles

At Dead Horse Gap
Lightning strikes
like march flies.

a howl at night .. fear in sight 

a dream .. far from real

I am so hungry
I could eat an entire horse.
Or, I'll just eat you!
