Wish you were here

Canopy of trees
trying to cross sky limit....
green revolution

a distant river
lying naked lazily....
an enticing call

the old learned stones
whispering me history...
wish you were here now

Future

into future blind
achieve structure with desires
promising outcome

As my heart’s desire lies alongside me

slumbering of a welcoming history

of what the unfolding future will usher

we walk into it embracing future promises

Words

Once blurted without caution,
It creates history enveloped in anguish
Only leaving you will bring serenity.

DEATH WISH HAIKU A Musical History of Cigarettes

DEATH WISH HAIKU (AS Musical History of Cigarettes)
L.S.M.F.T.
Snooky Lanson sang it clear
smoke in every ear.

From your Hit Parade,
Frank Sinatra blew the words one time
Didn't Fence Him In.

Dorothy Collin's voice
America there's only one to smoke
Lucky Strike's the one.

Drifting up her nose
pulling smoke into her lung
biting on her tongue

what is she doing?
coffins closing in with nails
death as slow as snails.

Do you want a Lucky?
More satisfaction pleasure
undertakers measure.

Camel smoke was nil
More Doctors smoked Lucky Strikes
Than Mike Hammer smoked.

Nicotine all day
tie hers up in Christmas bows
blow it out her nose.

Free on Navy ships
Sailors never saw the light
Though the match was free.

The Zebra Mussel Invasion (The Story Of The Three Hump Clam)

The Zebra Mussel Invasion (The Story Of The Three Hump Clam)

God’s opalescence-

                 Mississippi riverbed

                                    Suffocating sleep

_________________________________________________
Dedicated to Nadine and Burl, of “River City Pearls” in Alma
Wisconsin, fighting heroically to save the many species of
Mississippi river clams, bordering on extinction, from the
Choking Zebra Mussel invasion, your effort is honorable.
.
For you history buffs, Nadine was a pioneer in the Chinese
“mother of pearl” button-trade industry over 50 yrsago,
(now vanished) originating from this area of the Mississippi near
Alma called “Lake Pepin” a vast expanse of the river with
Minnesota on one side, and Wisconsin on the other, her River
Pearl Jewelry and Oil Paintings are internationally acclaimed

My own proverb

“A teacher's duty is teaching to their students and it is students duty to learn well, Then only student’s future will be written in a history book Teacher remains will always be a teacher as in history foot notes“ - Ravi Sathasivam

Top of the World

polar ice cap melts
bears cling to floating glaciers...
    world’s top is shifting

north pole relocates
tropical forests are glazed...
     history repeats

*Entry for Skat’s “Top of the World” haiku contest Many scientists believe the North Pole is in the process of shifting and that there is no real danger from alleged “global warming.” It’s a natural cycle that recurs about every 10,000 years.

Category Seven

after Katrina
bodies floated in the tide…
     rooftop watchers feared

storm surge broke the dam
New Orleans underwater…
     both lives and homes lost

city known for saints
by demonic sea consumed…
     more than a Cat Five

nature lashing out
protesting the harm we do…
    history repeats

*Entry for PD’s Nature the Destroyer” contest

IN CLEAR WHOLE TIME BOOK

                                            in a solid box
                                   air rotates within it's whole
                                       span blocked universe

                                      in clear whole time book
                                     pages of history of world
                                      printed without words

                                     no one can change facts
                                     imprinted even of causes
                                     crown is on truth’s head

                                     truth’s that such nectar
                                      like holy light and water
                                          no can poison it

Covered Bridge

Hand made wooden beams
cut down from family woods
many hands light work

It's the simple life
bridges built in the country
long history wrote
