I have contemplated more on this piece, and am given to understand that senryu tend more to the satirical

also the above does have seasonal content though not in the 1st line..' as it is a contemplative write I must

revert its genre to the haiku, which I did originally place it under I make this revision on the 28th 10th 2015

The reflective aspects, are the porcelain bowl, imagine also a rising moon.' this would cast a sickle shadow

at the bowl base, another moon stage that will be.' yet now is not.. Also the current moon is round like the

bowl the tounge is pink, the blossom is pink chablis refers to the shade of the sake, and the tast to me has

a metal brackish taste as it blossoms on the tounge.' as you may already know the sake from noritake speaks of the liquid and the bowl  I have shown all of this write & I won't do this ever again

I only did it because I had expanded it 80 percent already..' all the best Joe.'     10 2 2017

invert & impassive, moon reflective like.. shadow" taste blossom; copper chablis..

Hi Joe, I researched Noritake, the patterns, the influence, the historical significance of the changes in designs....I got no clue as to what you are looking for in this contest...I could just write about beautiful China but it is probably NOT what you are looking for...these hidden meanings are very HIDDEN to me...sorry Joe...I am not as sophisticated as the rest of these guys. Love, Gwendolen

With a syllable count of 6-7-7 this is more like a katuaka. Which form do you want in y our contest? 5-7-5 or 5-7-7 or 6-7-7?

Awesome images here, Joe. I like the way you describe the moon as "reflective" with a copper chablis blossom. I have all sorts of thoughts running through my head reading this. I will see if I can work with these thoughts and produce some haiku. I have been too ill to be on the Soup the past few days. Doing a little better today. Love, Carolyn

yup totally nonsensicle ..not a haiku...noritake is tableware? tableware writing a tribute to rice wine? shadows don't reflect a solid CASTES a shadow...the moon does reflect the light of the sun..copper tastes YUCKY! ever sucked a penny? LOL actually BLOOD tastes like copper? rose? not sure what you are doing Joe unless it's a puzzle?

Thanks for your expansion on the poem. Gives the verse so much more depth and I need to learn to grasp these deeper meanings. It all weaves together so beautifully.

I can see the image of the "impassive moon" so well through your words. Wonder if we could sip from the moon and find a "copper chablis." Eloquently written, Joe. Love and blessings, Carolyn

Cheers, Joe! An astute tribute to the "chablis", "Sake from Noritake". A faint flinty taste, yet still holds its own in the wine industy. Very clever! Best wishes, Mikki

That is a pretty flask. Not expensive either.Great fall colors..Very impressive work describing it..Thanks for the kind review of my work.Yes, I wrote another work about my father's death.I did not expect him to die but he had said that if someone doesn't do something for me I am going to die.I just thought that they would do surgery and he would be alright.I knew in my heart that he was gone a good thirty minutes before anyone told me he had died.I felt this spirit of him come to me pass on.Sara
