Bright red on a snow white background is very eye-catching, Susan. These are images to take in with abated breath...before the bird suddenly decides to fly off. ~ Warm regards // paul

Paul, I love birds and enhance my life with them by encouraging outdoor birds to come to my backyard with multiple feeders. After a bountiful snowfall, I saw a beloved cardinal on the branch of my snowy blue spruce. Such a beautiful sight! And you're right, this moment passed in a wink, so I captured this image in words. I'm so happy you enjoyed my Haiku. Thank you for your always endearing comments. Warmest wishes.~Susan

Oh, Susan, I wrote one on the same kind of scene. I can't think the title I gave it, but if you want to know, I can find out for you.
